One thing is for sure, the BlackBerry Storm was a very appreciated mobile device since it really managed to replace a PDA because of all the functions that it comes with. With 4.4 x 2.4 x 0.5 inches in dimensions and 5.6 ounces in weight, the BlackBerry Storm is powerful and handsome enough to compete with smart phones like the Samsung Omnia and even the Apple iPhone. The 3.25 inch display is something to be amazed of as it offers support for 65K colors and it has a resolution of 480 x 360 pixels. The sharpness of the colors and the brightness levels are 2 of the many features that should make you proud of owning a BlackBerry Storm.

The touch screen of the BlackBerry Storm will never draw much criticism as it is very responsive and good looking at the same time. The keyboard is perfectly usable both in normal or landscape mode. You have the option of enabling a full QWERTY keyboard and this option can be accessed from the menu. Combination of finger taps will perform different actions like zoom or scrolling through different pages. And just like most smart phones, this one also comes with some actual physical buttons like the Talk and End keys, a Clear key and the Menu button. On the left side you can find a shortcut key which is user programmable plus a micro USB port. On the right side you will discover a headphones jack plus a volume rocker and another key which can be customized but, as default, it is the camera activation and capture key button. The backside of the phone is the place where you can find the camera lens plus the flash and when you lift the battery cover, you will gain access to the microSD card slot. The top edge of the phone is host to the mute button plus the device lock.

Buying this cell phone from Verizon Wireless is going to bring a box filled with goodies like a travel charger, one USB cable, a wired headset, reference material plus a software CD, a SIM card and even an 8 GB microSD card. The BlackBerry Storm is not the best device you can use for taking pictures but it is still equipped with a good 3.2 megapixel camera and it has features like flash, 2X zoom, autofocus and image stabilization. Battery life has never been an outstanding chapter as far as smart phones are concerned and the battery performance on the BlackBerry Storm is average. The battery found on this device is a 1,400mAh lithium ion battery that manages to keep the cell phone on for 7 hours of conversations and about 2 weeks in standby mode.
